FREE SHOW: Dinner Bell

In the South we meet at the dinner table.  There are many things that divide us but our love for southern food, soul food brings us together.  Join TAPROOT ensemble at the dinner table for a taste of southern hospitatility and some southern snacks, while we share what we love and struggle with as southern women.  The show takes audiences through three main sections, each accompanyed by a taste of southern cooking: a satirical beauty pagent explores southern womanhood, Salena jumps on the table to share a story about religious bias and finally we explore race through the lense of white priviledge, but it wouldn't be a show about the south if we didn't chase fireflies and remind ourselves of what we share.  This FREE SHOW is generously funded by the Arts and Science Coucil's Culture Blocks Program.
